Meet the Owner
Brady W. Woods Jr.
I grew up on job sites alongside my dad, who was an electrician. That early start gave me a deep respect for the trade and a work ethic I carry into every project today. With over 30 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, I’ve built everything from custom homes to full-scale renovations.
In August 2024, my family and I made the move from Alamance County to beautiful Ocean Isle Beach. We’re thrilled to call the Brunswick County coast home and bring trusted, quality craftsmanship to this community.
Guiding Light Construction was founded with a purpose far deeper than building homes. It was built on love, faith, and the memory of my daughter Lyric who was taken from this world much too soon in 2022. Lyric’s spirit continues to guide every step forward, inspiring the values that shape this company and the way we serve our community.
Our mission is simple: to create spaces where families can feel safe, proud, and at home while carrying forward the love and light that inspired this company. Through every project we complete, we strive to honor Lyric’s memory by building not just structures, but trust, relationships, and lasting quality in the communities we serve.
